Firefighters appeared to have the upper hand on a blaze that broke out at a commercial structure in the City of Industry Friday night.

Crews were called to the building at 1250 Bixby Drive around 8:45 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The area is filled with several manufacturing warehouses and other businesses.

The LinkedIn page for Betani Footwear Inc. lists the company’s address as 1250 Bixby Drive in the City of Industry.

As Sky5 arrived above the scene at about 9:15 p.m., the entire interior of the building was ablaze, with the roof gone and beams exposed. The walls were still standing, but some appeared to be separating.

Firefighters were still working to save the building, with crews in defensive mode hosing it down from the outside with the use of at least five ladder engines.

By about 10 p.m., it appeared crews had the upper hand on the blaze, with no more flames visible but the building shrouded by smoke.
