New food festival, parade coming to the Disneyland Resort for Pixar Fest

A new food festival, parade and parties are coming to the Disneyland Resort in April for Pixar Fest, an event celebrating all things Pixar.

On Wednesday, the “Happiest Place on Earth” released more details about what visitors can expect to see and do during the event.

In the new “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade, dynamic and colorful floats will make their way through Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif., during Pixar Fest when it returns to Disneyland Resort from April 26-Aug. 4, 2024. At the Pixar Pals Playtime Party at Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland Park, guests will be able to get into the groove at a high-energy show, enjoy interactive games, photo locations and activities inspired by Pixar feature films, and even watch a selection of iconic shorts on the big screen during Pixar Fest, from April 26-Aug. 4, 2024 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! : The new daytime parade will debut at Disney California Adventure. Concept art for the parade shows that a real-life version of the 4*Town boy band and the red panda version of Mei Lee from “Turning Red” will be on a parade float. Floats themed to “Luca” and “Soul” will also be featured.
Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular: The returning fireworks show coming to Disneyland will feature new scenes with characters and moments from Pixar’s “Onward,” “Soul,” “Luca,” “Turning Red” and “Elemental.”

MagicBand+, a device with built-in LEDs and other technology, will also come to life with lights and vibrations synchronized to the music during the nighttime spectacular.

Club Pixar: At night, Club Pixar comes to life. Located at the Hollywood backlot at Disney California Adventure, guests can dance the night away at an interactive DJ dance party, enjoy live performances, play games, take photos and enjoy themed foods. During the day, Pixar-themed backdrops and games will be available to guests.
Pixar Pals Playtime Party: Families can enjoy Pixar-themed shows, photo locations, activities and games at the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland. Visitors can also watch select shorts on the big screen during the party.
Themed foods and marketplaces: On May 10, six Pixar-themed marketplaces will be available at DCA. Each location will be themed and have food inspired by one Pixar movie, including “Luca,” “Ratatouille,” “Elemental,” “Turning Red,” “Soul” and “Inside Out.”

Theme park officials said that more details about the food coming to the various locations will be available at a later date. Other themed foods, like the Pixar Fest cake at Plaza Inn, will be available throughout the resort.

During Pixar Fest, guests can also encounter Pixar characters, buy new Pixar-themed merchandise, and see themed décor. Downtown Disney will also be involved in the festivities.

Pixar Fest runs from April 26 until Aug. 4.
