Back in August, Russell Kraus was a regular fixture at the La Bonita Skate Park which just happens to be located next to a Boys and Girls Club.

He befriended many of the kids at the park, even took some of them to lunch, witnesses told KTLA.

Skaters say he was particularly focused on younger boys.

A search of the Megan’s Law website shows Kraus was previously convicted of sodomy on a child under 14 and using a child in the production of obscene matter, among other things.

Kraus’ activities at the skate park were finally brought to the attention of authorities by a 15-year-old girl who called police after she said she saw the 49-year-old encouraging three boys to fight each other.

Police arrested Kraus at the park.  Court record show a search of his home in Rancho Palos Verdes uncovered a DVD case filed with videos of young boys and a book entitled “Loving Boys, Volume 1”

Kraus is charged with three felony counts of child annoyance.
