Tenants at a Van Nuys apartment complex say after an error in their online payment system was discovered, new management has tacked on hundreds of dollars in backdated fees to their rent balances.
There’s a fear these new charges will make catching up financially impossible in the wake of the pandemic, and that the additional fees could now end up leading to tenants’ eviction.
