A Pennsylvania father smashed the windows of an SUV believed to belong to the man accused of raping his 13-year-old daughter hours after the suspect was taken into custody, according to CNN affiliate WTAE.
The victim’s father went to Dustin Moffat’s home Tuesday afternoon, jumped on the vehicle and used a hammer to smash the SUV’s windows, all the while angrily shouting about the violence inflicted against his daughter, the Pittsburgh television station reported.
His name was being withheld by the station so as to protect the identity of the victim.
The incident occurred several hours after Moffat was arrested on 29 sex-related charges, which included rape, sexual abuse of children, sexual exploitation of children, aggravated indecent assault and stalking, according to a news release from the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety.
The charges against the 32-year-old stem from the alleged sexual assault of the teen in 2011 and 2012, the release stated.
The victim told police Moffat would wait for her to get off the bus after school and threatened her with violence so she would keep quiet, according to WTAE. She said he had slapped and choked her.
Police also said the suspect uploaded videos of the acts to a mobile gaming community, the station reported.
In subsequent years, he allegedly continued to stalk and harass the girl.
Investigators believed Moffat could have additional victims. Pittsburgh police have urged anyone with information to call the Sex Assault/Family Crisis Unit at 412-323-7141.
