A tourist who was visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom lost two fingertips on his right hand in an accident on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Florida television station WPTV reported on Friday.

The unidentified man, who was from the United Kingdom, lost the tips of his ring and pinky fingers on the popular Disney attraction on Thursday and had to be taken to a hospital, according to the local TV station.

It was not immediately clear how the accident occurred.

The ride was temporarily stopped and checked out by theme park officials, according to WPTV.

It was reopened later that same day after officials deemed it safe to ride, the television station reported.
