Preview of ‘Amazon Prime Day’ Deals Includes 32-Inch LED TV for $75, $15 Off Fire TV Stick and More

Amazon's Prime Day is a one-day shopping event set for July 15, 2015.

Amazon Prime members can shop exclusive deals as part of “Amazon Prime Day” on Wednesday, July 15. The deals will start just after midnight PT.

“With more deals than Black Friday, members will enjoy thousands of deals from sought-after devices and tools to popular toys and pet supplies,” the company said in a news release. Those who want to try Amazon Prime for free can visit amazon.com/primeday.

Amazon’s peek comes after Walmart announced sales of its own on the same day that will be filled with what it calls “atomic specials” and thousands of deals.

Amazon’s special savings day on Wednesday is to commemorate the company’s 20th anniversary and is being promoted as having “more deals than Black Friday.”

Some of the discounts revealed Tuesday include a 40-inch TV for $115, savings of up to 70 percent on top kitchen brands, an Amazon Fire HD 7 tablet for $60 off (regularly retails for $139), over 50 percent off two Nikon COOLPIX cameras, and an iRobot Roomba Pet Vacuum Cleaning Robot for under $300, for a savings of at least $99 and possibly more depending on the model.

The following are some examples of the deals that will be available at various times on July 15:

Shoppers will be privy to enticements such as “Lightning Deals” and “Deals of the Day” throughout Wednesday and will receive free and unlimited two-day shipping.

Prime Day will also allow members the chance to win from $1,000 to $25,000 in Amazon gift cards and tickets and a trip to the season two premiere of Transparent, an Amazon original show.

The Amazon Prime annual membership costs $99 and gives customers free two-day shipping on 20+ million items on Amazon.com. The membership also includes access to music, movies, TV shows and more.

The company has been expanding its Prime service and recently started same-day shipping for members.
