Alexis Madera was booked on suspicion of murder with initial bail set at $1 million, Los Angeles Police Department Office Jane Kim said. Inmate records indicated he was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Madera’s alleged victim was identified Wednesday by the coroner’s office as Desiree Veronica Ramirez, 31.

She was found with a fatal gunshot wound to her upper torso just before 3 a.m. Tuesday inside a car in the driveway of a home in the 3200 block of Isabel Drive, on the border of Glassell Park and Mount Washington neighborhoods.

Two men and two women were detained for questioning, an LAPD captain said shortly after the shooting.

The man arrested was one of the four people initially detained, a Northeast Division watch commander said Wednesday.
