Woman killed at Hancock Park furniture store

A 24-year-old woman was killed in the 300 block of North La Brea Avenue in Hancock Park Thursday afternoon, police said.

The woman, identified by the Los Angeles Police Department at the scene as Brianna Kupfer, died at the scene of the fatal assault.

A LinkedIn profile for Kupfer identifies her as a design consultant for Croft House, a furniture business located on that block.

Lopez did not provide any suspect information, but surveillance video shows what appears to be a tall, slender man wearing black clothes and a white N95 mask walking away from the scene.

Investigators believe the man came into the store while Kupfer was alone.

“There was one additional person in there: the suspect. No other witnesses or customers were in the store at the time,” said Detective Herman Frettlohr of the LAPD.

A customer discovered Kupfer after the attack and called for help, police said.

Anyone with information or who has spotted the suspect on their surveillance footage is encouraged to call the LAPD at 877-LAPD 247.
