The midday series of collisions occurred along Valley Boulevard, finally ending when the dump truck rear-ended a line of cars waiting to turn left on San Gabriel Boulevard, the video shows.

The driver, who was found semiconscious, may have suffered some kind of medical condition, San Gabriel police Lt. Fabian Valdez told the Pasadena Star-News. He and four others were hurt. The driver and two of those injured were hospitalized, the Star-News reported.

Bryant Sullivan recorded a nearly 2-minute video in which he and another man followed the out-of-control truck down Valley Boulevard.

“We’re following this truck who’s just running up on the median. He just side-swiped a car,” one of them says.

The truck then strikes the back of a white sedan waiting in the shared turn lane, pushing it across traffic and leaving car parts skittering across the roadway.

“This dude is crazy! Don’t get in front of this guy,” one of the men in the video exclaims.

As the truck approaches San Gabriel Boulevard, the men say it doesn’t look like it will stop. The truck then plows into a line of vehicles waiting in the left turn lane, prompting expletives on the video.

A Volvo SUV gets smashed and turned around, and the chain-reaction crash involves several other vehicles.

The dump truck comes to a halt and the video ends.

The truck struck eight vehicles in three separate crashes, according to the Star-News.
