Video Shows Mother and Son Dancing at His Wedding 3 Days Before Her Death

A mother battling cancer was recently able to share a once in a lifetime experience with her son three days before she died – a slow dance at his wedding in Dana Point.

A YouTube video posted Sept. 6 2014, shows Mary Ann Manning and her son Ryan Manning dancing at his wedding three days before she died.

Mary Ann Manning and her son Ryan can be seen dancing to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel “Iz”  Kamakawiwo’ole at his wedding in a YouTube video published by her daughter on Sept. 6.

The video had been seen by nearly 300,000 people by Sunday.

“She held on with all her might to give her son this last gift,” Manning’s daughter Kristie Manning stated in the video post. “It’s really the epitome of a mother’s love.”

Mary Manning was battling breast cancer and began using a wheelchair several months before Ryan’s wedding, KTLA sister-station Fox 8 reported.

Although she appeared to require assistance getting around, the video shows her standing, smiling, and hugging and kissing her son throughout the 2-minute song.

Mary Manning died on Sept. 8, KTVU-TV reported.

She was from Dublin, is a suburban city east of the San Francisco Bay located in Alameda County.
