One Inland Empire family received an unwanted guest in their home on Wednesday.
In a video sent to KTLA by Ryan’s Rattlesnake Rescue, a four-foot long rattlesnake can be seen slithering through a home in La Cresta, an unincorporated community near Murrieta.
Ryan Jessup with the rescue told KTLA that the snake, a Red diamond snake, moved from the home’s living room to a game room. When he arrived to the home after the family called him, the snake was crawling up into a toy bin.
The snake was removed from the home.
Jessup said rattlesnakes become more active as the weather warms up in the spring time, as it’s mating season for the reptiles.
