The incident occurred Saturday around 1:35 a.m. in the 3700 block of Oaklawn Lane (map) in a gated community just south of the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area, according to authorities.

The unidentified victim was found suffering from multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at a local hospital that morning.

The man’s son, 17-year-old Sergio Anthony Gutierrez, was considered a “person of interest” and wanted for questioning after his death, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release said at the time.

A Sunday news release said a juvenile and 18-year-old Jesus Adame had been arrested around 4:40  p.m. in connection to the death.
