Video captures suspect robbing Orange County bank

A suspect, who remains at large, was caught on camera robbing a bank in Orange County.

The incident happened on April 2 at a U.S. Bank in Irvine located on Barranca Parkway, according to the Irvine Police Department. 

Security video captured the male suspect who entered the bank while wearing a baseball cap sunglasses, a face mask and disposable gloves.

As the man calmly entered the bank, he walked towards a teller and handed the woman a note that demanded $18,000.

The teller is seen grabbing $446 from a cash drawer and handing the stack of bills to the suspect. The man quickly walks out of the bank and into his car before driving away.

The suspect is described as a possibly Asian man in his 40s, standing around 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 210 pounds.

He has dark-colored hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white baseball hat with the word “Callaway on it, a navy-colored t-shirt with the word “USA” on the front, a navy bandana covering his face, dark sunglasses, and blue surgical gloves.

His vehicle is described as a newer model white Toyota Sienna minivan. It has a temporary license paper plate or a covered plate, police said.
