A 34-year-old woman in Riverside County has been arrested for allegedly hitting and killing a man with her vehicle in what authorities described as a “domestic altercation.”
Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 1200 block of Hamner Avenue in Norco Tuesday just before 12:30 a.m. on reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
At the scene, deputies located a 57-year-old man from Riverside, later identified as Bahman Nowrozi, suffering from severe injuries consistent with a traffic collision, a RCSD news release stated.
The 57-year-old was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Deputies also located Riverside resident Aubrey McGee, the driver of the vehicle that struck the man, at the scene.
Authorities said that once it was preliminarily determined that the traffic collision was the result of a domestic dispute, the scene was secured, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
McGee was taken into custody for murder and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
While the investigation is ongoing, officials said no additional suspects are believed to be outstanding.
Authorities did not provide any information about the nature of McGee’s relationship to the victim.
