A second driver sought in a street racing crash that killed a popular music teacher surrendered to authorities, Hawthorne police announced Thursday.

Anthony Leon Holley turned himself in late Tuesday night and was taken into custody, according to a news release from the Hawthorne Police Department.

Holley and Alfredo Perez Davila were accused of speeding down Crenshaw Boulevard in a street race that ended in a crash that killed Benjamin Golbin, 36, of San Pedro, police said.

Davila — aka Alfredo Davila Perez — of Hawthorne was charged Tuesday with one count each of murder and vehicular manslaughter in the Jan. 15 crash, the DA’s office said.

He entered a not guilty plea and was due back in court Feb. 8.

Davila was allegedly racing his Chevrolet Cobalt against a Chevy Camaro driven by Holley northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard near 135th Street in the middle of the day, Hawthorne police said.

Davila lost control, and the Cobalt went airborne and crashed onto the roof of Golbin’s Honda CR-V, which was traveling in the other direction.
