An Eastvale man is behind bars after he allegedly fatally shot a Fontana man during a road-rage incident on Thursday.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, Abel Nunez-Alejandre, 28, shot Roger Albarran, 52, in the 14100 block of Arrow Route at about 4:30 p.m.

Albarran, who was found inside his vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Investigators found that Albarran was in a Honda Civic headed north on Etiwanda Avenue when an altercation occurred with Nunez-Alejandra, who was in a GMC Yukon, the release said.

“During the road rage incident, Nunez-Alejandre fired a handgun at Albarran,” the Sheriff’s Department said. “Albarran was struck by gunfire, lost control of his vehicle, and collided with a parked car.”

Nunez-Alejandre faces a murder charge, and he is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center.
