Possibility of Year-Round ‘Super Scooper’ in SoCal Discussed by Supervisors

The possibility of bringing a “Super Scooper” airtanker to combat Southern California wildfires year round — instead of just for the three months starting Sept. 1 that are currently contracted — was discussed at a Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday.
