A pod of killer whales was captured on video chasing a boat off the coast of San Diego recently.
The encounter took place Thursday about 5 miles off Point Loma, according to the YouTube caption for the video, which was distributed by video licensing agency ViralHog.
About 1 minute and 20 seconds into the video, a whale jumps out of the water and comes within feet of the boat.
The two men aboard the vessel were also able to get several shots of the orcas as they swam under water alongside the boat.
The men said there were about 30 whales behind them.
