Neverland Ranch, the former home of Michael Jackson, is in the path of a Southern California wildfire

The “Lake Fire” in Santa Barbara County has ravaged more than 13,000 acres in just a couple of days, and now it’s threatening an iconic piece of real estate.

Neverland Ranch, the 2,700 acre home of Michael Jackson from 1988 to 2005, was within one mile from the edge of the fire on Sunday, according to stringer service RMG News.

There was no immediate word as to whether the blaze was heading in the direction of the Los Olivos home.

Jackson owned the ranch until his death in 2009. Billionaire businessman Ron Burkle purchased it for $22 million in 2020.

The blaze was first reported on Friday at 3:48 p.m. southeast of Santa Maria and it’s forced evacuation orders on Figueroa Mountain Road from 5380 Figueroa Mountain Road to Sawmill Basin, including Tunnel Road and the Figueroa Campground.

No injuries or burned structures have been reported as of Sunday afternoon.
