LAPD Responds to Report of Stabbing in Mount Washington

Los Angeles police were investigating a report that a stabbing occurred in Mount Washington early Monday.

The incident took place in the 3400 block of Glenalbyn Drive at about 2:40 a.m., a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.

The unidentified victim was transported by family across town to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar said.

Staff at the hospital called Los Angeles police to report a victim of a crime, and officers went to the hospital, Aguilar said.

The victim – who may have been left with laceration wounds – and the assailant were believed to know each other, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.

No other information was available.
