Investigators were looking for a man who attacked a Metro bus driver in Sun Valley on Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Glenoaks Boulevard and Wheatland Avenue at around 6:40 a.m. after the man on the bus punched the driver in the face, sheriff’s Lt. Lester Trull said.

The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital in an ambulance.

The attacker was described as being a Hispanic man who is between 25 and 30 years old, stands 5 feet 6 inches and weighs about 160 pounds, according to Trull.

No one else was injured, and it was unclear what led up to the incident.

Anyone with information was asked to call the department’s Transit Services Bureau at 323-563-5000.
