Police in Garden Grove were asking for the public’s help in identifying three to four men who posed as deliverymen during two home invasion robberies.

The first incident was reported on Monday around 3:45 p.m. at a home in the 13500 block of Merello Street.

Three teenagers were home when they heard a knock at the front door, according to a news release from the Garden Grove Police Department.

When they looked outside, the children saw two men at the door holding flowers, the release stated.

The youngsters opened the door and were immediately confronted by three men with guns who robbed the home, police said.

The most recent incident occurred on Wednesday around 11 a.m. in the 8500 block of Hewitt Place.

In this case, three men walked into a gated complex holding a large bouquet of balloons, the release stated.

They then entered a unit on the south end of the building through an open garage door.

Inside the home, three adults and two children were zip tied and shoved into a closet until the men left, the release stated.

The robbers were identified as black males wearing dark clothing.

One of the men was wearing gold-framed aviator sunglasses and distinctive high top black basketball type shoes with white soles.

He was said to be 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing between 240 to 270 pounds.

Anyone with information was asked to call Garden Grove police at 714-741-5800.
