Man tied to 6 Long Beach burglaries could get life in prison

A man could be sentenced to life in prison if he’s convicted on charges he burglarized six homes in Long Beach in 2023 and 2024.

David Lee Silver, 48, faces six counts of first-degree residential burglary for incidents between Aug. 1, 2023, and March 13, 2024, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release. Officials did not detail the specific incidents to which Silver has been connected.

“For nearly a year, the Long Beach community has been shaken by these residential burglaries,” District Attorney George Gascón said in the release. “No one should have to endure the violation and fear that comes with having their home invaded. Our office is working to ensure justice is served for those who have been victimized.”

Jail records show Silver is being held at the Inmate Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles.

He was due to be arraigned in Long Beach Municipal Court Wednesday morning.
