Man Shot to Death During Argument in Lancaster; 2 at-Large

A 30-year-old man was shot to death in Lancaster during an argument with two men, authorities said Sunday.

Deputies responded to a 911 call at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday regarding a “gunshot victim” in the 45400 block of Corkwood Avenue, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s news release.

The victim had been shot in his upper body. He was rushed to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, the release said.

His name has not yet been released.

Witnesses later told homicide detectives that three men had been involved in a verbal argument when one of them produced a handgun and shot the victim.

The two men then fled the scene and had not been found as of Sunday afternoon, according to investigators. A detailed description of them was not provided in the release.

Detectives were asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
