Police are searching for two suspects who shot and killed a man in the Newhall community of Santa Clarita Monday night.
The shooting was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m. at Valencia Liquor near the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Newhall Avenue.
Responding officers found a man in his 30s down near the front entrance with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release. His identity was not immediately released.
People in the area told KTLA that they heard about a dozen gunshots coming from the direction of the store, which was open at the time.
Police have not determined the motive for the shooting.
No description of the suspects or any possible suspect vehicle was provided.
