Man climbs on top of bus, refuses to come down for hours in downtown Los Angeles

A man climbed on top of a bus in downtown Los Angeles and refused to come down for nearly four hours overnight.

The man clambered onto the roof of the bus on Pico Boulevard near Flower Street around 10 p.m. Monday, preliminary information indicates.

Video from the scene shows the man running back and forth on the roof of the bus; at one point, he was even seen doing push-ups.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene and attempted to get the man to come down, but he refused.

An LAPD spokesperson confirmed to KTLA that he was still on top of the bus as of 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, but it was not immediately known if a crisis team was dispatched.

Eventually, around 2 a.m., the shirtless man decided to climb down under his own power.

He was not arrested.
