Man charged with killing elderly woman, hitting 3 others in Anaheim hit-and-runs

A driver was charged with allegedly killing an elderly woman and injuring three others during hit-and-run crashes in Anaheim.

The suspect was identified as Kien Do, 54, from Santa Ana, by the Anaheim Police Department.


On Jan. 5, officers responded to reports of pedestrians struck by a hit-and-run driver on the 1800 block of South Harbor Boulevard at around 5 p.m.

Arriving officers found an injured woman, identified as Judith Stanford, 75, at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Convention Way.

The woman was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

Investigators later determined the suspect’s vehicle had struck three people before hitting the 75-year-old woman. 

One of the pedestrians suffered minor to moderate injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.

On Jan. 17, the suspect was located in Stanton and taken into custody.

He was later charged with vehicle manslaughter with gross negligence, assault with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run with injury. He is being held without bail.
