A Moreno Valley man was arrested on suspicion of pimping and human trafficking after allegedly forcing a 15-year-old girl into prostitution, police said.

Vice officers were working in the 400 block of Baseline Street (map) at about 7:30 p.m. when they made contact with a teen who was loitering in the area, a news release from the San Bernardino Police Department stated.

“During the contact with the juvenile, investigators learned that she was being made to work as a prostitute in the area,” police said in the release.

Officers later went to the residence of 32-year-old Craig Anthony Parker and arrested him on suspicion of pimping and pandering a minor, and human trafficking, according to the release.

Parker was taken to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Central Detention Center, while the girl was lodged at Juvenile Hall, authorities said.

No further information was available.
