Missing L.A. County girl found safe

A missing girl who was last seen in Lakewood was found safe Tuesday night.

The teen, who was critically missing at the time, was identified as Megan Marie Torres, 16, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.


At the time of her disappearance on Feb. 22, Torres was last seen on the 5800 block of Woodruff Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. 

“Thank you to the public, the media, and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Megan,” said LASD.

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance and discovery were not released by authorities.
