Long Beach woman shot to death

A Long Beach woman was shot to death Wednesday afternoon, the Long Beach Police Department said.

Myriam Zaragoza, 43, was found in full cardiac arrest in the 2300 block of Locust Avenue at about 3:25 p.m., police said in a news release.

She had been shot multiple times in the upper body and was declared dead at the scene.

Police said the identity of the shooter or shooters and a possible motivation behind the attack remain under investigation.
