Authorities arrested a suspect who led officers on a dangerous pursuit through Los Angeles County on Thursday night.
The female driver was initially wanted for tailgating and making unsafe lane changes, according to California Highway Patrol.
Officers followed closely behind her black pickup truck as she drove recklessly on the 101 Freeway.
Throughout the chase, the suspect merged dangerously through traffic at high speeds, narrowly missing nearby vehicles while driving through red lights.
At one point, she suddenly swerved toward an exit ramp at Woodman Avenue near Newhall before spinning out and crashing into a metal pole on a sidewalk.
Undeterred, she continued driving away, dodging patrol cars before reentering the freeway.
She clipped another vehicle at one point, the maneuver causing her to sideswipe a wall near the freeway shoulder lane as she continued escaping.
She exited onto surface streets and eventually pulled over in a neighborhood near Hortense Street and Coldwater Canyon Avenue before surrendering to officers.
As the woman was ordered to put her hands up, she appeared to be holding a cigar that she may have been smoking during the chase.
Footage of the pursuit can be seen in the video player above.
