The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department offered its thanks Wednesday evening after a man reported missing man earlier in the day, Jarrod Akaiya Padilla, was located.

The LASD announced shortly before 7 p.m. that Padilla had been found.

“Thank you to the public, the media, Aero Bureau, and deputy personnel for their efforts in the search for Mr. Padilla,” the LASD said.

Padilla, 29, had been missing since about 2 a.m. Tuesday, when he was last seen in the 15500 block of Calverton Drive in La Mirada.

Padilla’s family was worried about his well-being, as he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, the Sheriff’s Department said.
