Lancaster man arrested in Westfield Topanga flash robbery

A Lancaster man has been arrested for allegedly participating in a flash mob robbery at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park last August.

On Aug. 12, 2023, a group of between 20 and 50 people ransacked Nordstrom, taking designer clothes, purses and other merchandise.

The Los Angeles Police Department now says one of those people was 28-year-old Travelle Hamblet, who was booked on a robbery charge on Wednesday.

When searching Hablet’s residence, police said they found an “unregistered handgun, an extended magazine, ammunition, and approximately $4,500” in cash.

He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys.
