High Surf Advisory Issued for Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange County Beaches

Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange County beaches were expected to offer dangerous swimming conditions that included strong rip currents Sunday and Monday, according to high surf advisories issued by the National Weather Service.

The strong surf was predicted to impact Los Angeles and Ventura County beaches through midmorning Sunday and again Monday, according to NWS advisories.

Surf of 5 to 8 feet was expected to subside through Sunday morning then rebuild Monday afternoon and into the night.

In Orange County, an advisory was expected to last through Tuesday, warning of 3-to 5-foot waves and 6 feet along west-facing beaches.
