The Aug. 3 shooting of a female gang associate in Reseda sparked the investigation, which led to search warrants being served on 15 locations, mostly in Van Nuys and Arleta, the Los Angeles Police Department stated in a news release.

Investigators linked more than six shootings to the same gang since the Aug. 3 incident, according to the news release.

Authorities also uncovered a “brewing feud among local rival gangs,” Capt. Paul Vernon of the Police Department stated in the news release.

Police arrested four men and seized six guns, including AR15 and AK47 assault rifles, while serving the warrants at various residences.

“We expect today’s operation will put a big hurt on this gang and its ability to operate,” Vernon stated. “Taking these guns out of these criminals’ hands will surely make the Valley a little safer.”

Anyone with further information was asked to call Detective James Fillmore at 818-374-7709.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
