Former President Bill Clinton Speaks at ‘Get Out The Vote’ Rally in Oxnard

Former President Bill Clinton headlined the “Get Out The Vote” rally in Oxnard on Wednesday.

Clinton spoke during the event held at Oxnard College (map) in hopes of energizing voters ahead of next week’s midterm elections.

“This is about you and your future,” Clinton said.

The former president is endorsing three local Democratic candidates involved in tight races, including congress member Julia Brownley (CA-26), congress member Raul Ruiz (CA-36), and Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar (CA-31).

“One side wants you to be all torn up and upset and stop thinking. We want you to think about the fact that we got all our jobs back, now we can create the future,” Clinton said.

Brownley, Ruiz, Aguilar and college student leaders also spoke at the rally.

Following the event, Clinton was scheduled to head to UC Davis for another “Get Out The Vote” rally later in the day.
