Brawl erupts between Israel, and Palestinian supporters outside L.A.’s Museum of Tolerance

Altercations between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian supporters were captured on video outside a film screening at the Museum of Tolerance in West Los Angeles Wednesday night.

The film, Bearing Witness, featured gruesome unedited footage of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israeli civilians near the Gaza border that Israel says left more than 1,400 people dead.

The 47-minute video was provided by Israeli Defence Forces and shown to select audiences in Los Angeles and New York.

Actress Gal Gadot, who is Israeli and a former IDF service member, was purportedly involved in organizing the screenings.

“Over 240 hostages, including 30 children, are still being held captive by Hamas. This is a prayer from Broadway to bring them home,” Gadot posted on her Instagram page Wednesday night.

According to the Los Angeles Times, about 150 people attended the Los Angeles screening, although Gadot was not in attendance.

Demonstrators carrying Israeli and Palestinian flags lined both sides of the streets outside the museum, which emphasizes the history of the Holocaust. Fights erupted where people could be seen exchanging punches and kicking cars that were driving through an intersection.

“Two reports for battery were taken and will be thoroughly investigated,” LAPD said in a statement on Thursday. “At this time, we do not have suspects in custody relating to the battery, or for any other reason relating to this event.”
