Deer Seen Galloping Across Golden Gate Bridge During Rush-Hour Traffic

Traffic came to a halt on the Golden Gate bridge when two deer recently ran across its heavily-congested lanes.

The deer were galloping on the bridge’s northbound lanes Thursday afternoon while heading for the Marin County hills, California Highway Patrol officials told CNN.

The deer were not harmed, likely because it was rush hour and traffic was already moving slowly, the CHP stated.

Traffic was able to begin moving around 6 p.m., the CHP told KTLA sister-station KTXL.
