The driver of a car lost control in the 300 block of N. San Fernando Blvd. at around 7 a.m., hit a pole, crashed into the AT&T store, drove through a wall and into the Coffee Bean next door.

There were several customers inside the coffee shop, but no one was injured.

The driver wasn’t seriously injured, and it appears to have a been a case of driving too fast in the slick weather, according to Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick.

“Based on the traffic conditions with the rain and everything, the speed was a little bit unsafe,” Kendrick said.

Anyone who may have seen the crash was asked to call the Burbank Police Department at 818-238-3000.
