The body of a man was found Monday in the trunk of a car parked outside Ontario Mills Mall, police said.
Authorities released few details about the discovery, but confirmed the car belongs to a man who was reported missing in South Carolina, according to Sgt. Jeff Higbee, spokesman for the Ontario Police Department.
It was unclear Monday whether the body is that of the missing man.
Detectives found no signs of foul play, he said. Investigators believe the death is a possible suicide, Higbee said.
