Authorities were in pursuit of a driver who reportedly failed to yield after officers in Pomona attempted to stop the suspect for vehicle code violations Thursday.
The driver, in a Chevrolet Corvette, was leading authorities on a chase on the westbound 210 Freeway shortly after the pursuit was initiated. The suspect transitioned to the southbound 60 Freeway and later exited in downtown Los Angeles.
The driver, who was clocked at speeds of 130 miles per hour while on the freeway, was also seen driving the wrong way on a one-way street in the downtown area.
The suspect eventually pulled into an underground parking area and was, for the time being, able to evade police when Sky5 was forced to return to base.
