‘At-Risk’ Corona Boy Remains Missing After Parents Are Arrested on Suspicion of Child Abuse

Corona police on Thursday continued searching for a missing 8-year-old boy after arresting his parents on suspicion of child abuse.

Officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Temescal Canyon Road about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of an “at-risk” missing child named Noah McIntosh, according to a Corona Police Department news release. The mother, 36-year-old Jillian Godfrey, had called police to conduct a welfare check on her son after his father wouldn’t let her see him, the woman’s parents told KTLA. The two resided separately, and Noah’s father — 32-year-old Bryce McIntosh — had custody of him an 11-year-old daughter, Godfrey’s parents said. After speaking with the mother, officers went to McIntosh’s home. They made numerous attempts to contact him, including knocking on the door and calling him, but there was no answer, police said. The following day, police served a search warrant on the residence around 8 a.m. and a SWAT team made entry, according to authorities. Inside, they located the man along with the daughter. Noah, however, was nowhere to be found. Investigators believed McIntosh was in the home the entire time police tried to contact him, but they are unsure why he would not come out. At that point, police said they had enough information to arrest the parents on suspicion of child abuse. “Through the course of the investigation, information was … presented to us that led us to believe the child abuse was occurring to Noah over a certain time period. I don’t know what that time period is,” Corona Officer Tobias Kouroubacalis told KTLA. “So the detectives believe that they had probable cause to arrest both parents for child abuse.” Officials declined to release photos of either parent. Investigators are now seeking the public’s help to locate Noah, who was last seen approximately two weeks ago in the 4600 block of Temescal Canyon Road, according to police.
