5 Pharmacies Hit in Series of O.C. Burglaries Targeting Cough Syrup

As many as five pharmacies were targeted by burglars Wednesday morning in Orange County. The break-ins were the most recent in a string of burglaries targeting promethazine with codeine cough syrup — a combination typically used to create a drug-infused concoction known as “dirty sprite,” “syzzurp” or “lean.” Steve Kuzj reports from Garden Grove for the KTLA 5 News at 10 on April 6, 2016.
