A crash involving up to six vehicles left four people injured and temporarily led to multiple lane closures in the Sepulveda Pass hours ahead of the morning commute on Monday.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound 405 Freeway near the connector to the 101 Freeway in Sherman Oaks shortly after 1:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log.
Four people were injured in the crash and taken to local hospital, according to CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos. Their conditions were not immediately known.
A SigAlert was issued at 2:05 a.m. and the entire northbound freeway was initially shut down between the 101 connector and Skirball Center Drive.
By 3:20 a.m., two lanes had been reopened.
The SigAlert was canceled shortly before 5:30 a.m. and all northbound lanes were reopened.
The cause of the crash was being investigated.
