Two motorcyclists were airlifted to a hospital Sunday afternoon after separate collisions on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, officials said.

Few details were immediately available about the incidents, which were both reported about 3:15 near PCH and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The motorcyclists’ injuries and conditions were unknown.

A section of westbound PCH was closed after the crashes, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said on Twitter.

A SigAlert was issued for the highway’s westbound lanes at 4:14 p.m. and was expected to expire within 30 minutes, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collisions occurred the day after a pickup truck slammed into two parked vehicles on PCH in Malibu, leaving one man dead.
