One person was injured after shots rang out amid a busy Friday night at The Outlets at Orange mall.
Orange Police received reports of shots fired at the mall just before 9 p.m. When police arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound.
Patrol cars were seen surrounding a Dave & Buster’s restaurant at one of the mall’s entrances.
Witnesses reportedly saw a group of young men who appeared to know each other, involved in an altercation.
During the confrontation, the victim was shot in the leg by a male suspect, police said. Before officers arrived, the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a black long-sleeve shirt.
A news photographer witnessed at least one person being taken into custody on Friday night.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition.
