A pileup in Reseda involving at least four vehicles and two parked cars killed one person and injured several others Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash, first disclosed by LAFD around 11:30 a.m., was in the area of 18153 West Vanowen Street. Firefighters responded to the collision which involved 11 people.

Three people were trapped, including one who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to LAFD. The deceased person was yet to be identified as of Sunday.

The other two trapped people were successfully removed from one vehicle using hydraulic rescue tools similar to the “jaws of life,” LAFD said.

Six people in total were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Their conditions were not immediately made clear by authorities.
