Clinton, Sanders Attend Multiple SoCal Campaign Events

The two Democratic Party presidential nominee contenders were attending several events in Southern California Tuesday, when they both announced additional local events two weeks before the state’s primary.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attended a morning event focused on foster care in South Los Angeles with Rep. Karen Bass, and had an afternoon event about working families Commerce.

Tuesday evening, Clinton held a 5:30 p.m. rally at the UC Riverside campus.

Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont was at a rally at the Anaheim Convention Center at 10 a.m. and another at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium at 2 p.m.

His third rally of the day got underway around 7 p.m. in San Bernardino, at the National Orange Show Events Center.

Sanders on Tuesday released a new television ad focused on California voters. He also announced new campaign dates in the region later this week: at noon Wednesday in Cathedral City, at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Lancaster, and 1 p.m. Thursday in Ventura.

Clinton’s campaign added a 10:15 a.m. Wednesday union event in Buena Park, and another event later Wednesday in Salinas. She has a San Jose event at 1:30 p.m. Thursday and then heads to Las Vegas.

The presumptive Republican nominee, meanwhile, was due in Anaheim for a noon rally Wednesday. Donald Trump will appear at the Anaheim Convention Center.
