Gayle Anderson introduced us to the new exhibition Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors.
The Nixon Presidential Library and Museum display brings together 66 full-color portraits and a four-panel mural painted by former President George W. Bush of members of the United States military who have served our Nation with honor since 9/11—and whom he has come to know personally.
The Bush Institute’s Veteran and Military Families work helps post-9/11 veterans and their families make a successful transition to civilian life and addresses issues of veteran wellness, including post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
“Portraits of Courage” is on exhibit at the Nixon Library and for the first time on the West Coast thanks to the generosity of the Lisa Argyros/Argyros Family Foundation.
